Teoksen kuvaus

Miksi? Kannabis tulisi laillistaa ennen kaikkea yksilönvapauden, sen lääkinnällisten hyötyjen ja yhteiskunnan yleisturvallisuuden vuoksi. Nykyiset rikosoikeudelliset seuraukset aiheuttavat yksilölle usein suurempaa haittaa kuin itse kasvin käyttö, ja tästä tulisi luopua.

”Kindly”-trilogian toisessa osassa Kinder Maxi -yllätysmunan kuvasto kohtaa yhden aikamme puhutuimmista yhteiskunnallisista murroksista. Kindly Legalize It vaatii siirtymistä kannabiksen kieltolaista vapaampaan yhteiskuntaan.

Teoksen pupu on vaihtanut perinteiset pääsiäisrekvisiitat bongiin ja sytyttimeen, ja taustalla lentävä pörriäinen kastelee hahmojen maailmassa kukoistavia kannabiskasveja. Alaosan oranssi kenttä on täytetty kannabiksen lehden ääriviivoilla. Viesti on sekä provokatiivinen että raikas.

Why? Cannabis should be legalized, above all, for the sake of individual liberty, its medicinal benefits, and general public safety. Current criminal justice consequences often cause greater harm to the individual than the use of the plant itself, and this approach should be abandoned.

In the second installment of the ”Kindly” trilogy, the imagery of the Kinder Maxi surprise egg meets one of the most debated social transformations of our time. Kindly Legalize It demands a transition from the prohibition of cannabis toward a freer society.

The bunny in the piece has swapped traditional Easter props for a bong and a lighter, while the hovering bee in the background waters cannabis plants flourishing in the characters’ world. The orange field at the bottom is filled with the outlines of a cannabis leaf. The message is both provocative and fresh.

Kindly Legalize It is an honest and humor-laced commentary that is not afraid to tackle taboos. It utilizes the methods of pop art to dismantle prejudices and invites the viewer to reflect on our relationship with nature, the law, and the right to self-determination in the modern world.
